The images in this gallery were photographed in October 2010. Included here are selections from the Columbia River Gorge as well as from coastal waterfall locations. The afternoon of October 14th coastal photography wasn't looking too good due to an incoming storm so a visit to Sweet Creek Falls near Mapleton, Oregon was planned. This turned out to be a fantastic find especially during fall color with a lot of fallen orange turned maple leaves everywhere. Sweet Creek is just that "visually sweet". The mile long hike back to the main waterfall straddles along the creek bed where there are a great series of smaller cascade falls. I opened this gallery with images from this "sweet" location, enjoy. More additions are to come shortly. Most of these images are processed with infrared black and white emulation methods.
