Images in this gallery were photographed between June 8th and June 13th 2008. This was my first visit to Yellowstone and I was amazed with the natural beauty, wildlife, and geothermal activity abound. Fortunately although the visit was in late spring some winter weather stuck around making for some great images. The geyser views with the cold air made for great steam cloud formations. Most outstanding though are the mineral and cyanobacteria formations surrounding these geysers. They are trully otherworldly and visually striking making for some cool abstracts. It has been an extensive editing and post processing project to narrow down nearly 1500 images to these.
